Windows Mixed Reality comes with two controllers.
Figure 72: Windows Mixed Reality controllers
Navigation (Panorama, 3D View)
Use joystick (1) on the left-handed controller to move around while in the 3D view.
Press the touchpad (3) two times fast on right-handed controller while pointing at arbitrary scan location in panorama or 3D view to teleport to that location.
Measuring (Panorama, 3D View)
Use the analog button (2) to create measurements in the panorama or 3D view. Follow these steps:
1. Use your head and VR controllers to navigate a virtual pointer to the part of the project where you want to create measurements.
2. Press the measurement button (2) to start a measuring task from that point.
3. Move virtual pointer to another location.
4. Press the measurement button (2) to select the end point and finish measuring task.
A measurement line and a text with the calculated distance between two selected points are shown.
Note: The analog button will choose a point only when fully pressed, but if you want to increase precision while measuring you can slightly press the button and virtual pointer will move slower. You can see the factor of precision as a “progress line” on the virtual pointer.
Create Annotations (Panorama, 3D View)
Point at an arbitrary location in panorama or 3D View and long-press the touchpad (3) on the right-handed controller for about 1 second. An annotation with the title “VR Annotation” should be created. After you exit VR mode the WebShare Cloud will show edit task for VR annotations you created where you can edit title, description or other annotation properties.
Note: You must be logged in to your account to create annotations.
Switch between view modes (Panorama, 3D View)
On the side of the right-handed controller, press the button (4) to switch between view modes.
