Facade View Orthophoto
Facade View Orthophotos are, as the name suggests, orthophotos which show a vertical view. In SCENE WebShare Cloud, you can define the width as well as the height of such a photo.
In the Overview Map Task panel, click the Take Orthophoto button.
In the Choose Type box, select Facade View.
Figure 38: Choose Image
Define Image
Pick two points to define the basic image plane.
Click the camera button to select the view which the orthophoto will have. In the example above, the orthophoto will view from the outside of the building.

Adjust Depth
Determine the offset of the image plane in two separate directions: behind the image plane, facing away from the camera, and in front of the image plane, towards the camera.
Enter each a value, or use the arrow up/down function to select a value.
Figure 40: Select scans
Select Scans: Select one or more scans. You can pick these scans, or drag the cursor over an area to mark several scans.
The marked scans are listed below the selection buttons. Click the button behind the scan's name to delete the scan.
Figure 41: Set elevation range
Set Elevation Range
Set the top and bottom edges of the image in world coordinates. Because you can not see the vertical dimensions in the Overview Map, open the 3D View or the panorama of a nearby scan. The future orthophoto is displayed there, and you can click on points to adjust the top and bottom values. For ground view orthophotos, you can rotate the image, or choose a top-down or bottom-up view using the provided buttons. You can also select the Hide points outside the selected volume in the 3D view check box to hide all points that are outside the volume that you are defining (similar to a clipping box in SCENE).
Set Resolution
Adjust the image resolution or dimensions of the resulting image. Resolution and Image Dimensions are linked; you can not increase the resolution without changing the dimensions.
Note: The input for image dimensions is validated to allow only sane image dimensions. If the input is invalid, an error message is shown. The image dimensions that are currently allowed in SCENE WebShare Cloud are:
Minimum 64 pixel width and height
Maximum 1,000,000 pixel width or height
Total maximum of 1,000,000,000 pixels (1 Gigapixel or 1000 Megapixel)
Valid dimensions would be, for example:
1,000,000 x 1.000
10,000 x 100,000
64 x 64
Invalid dimensions would be, for example:
100,000 x 100,000
64 x 63
Set Color Mode
Select the colorization mode for the orthophoto. If the mode is not available for particular scans, a different mode will be used automatically.
Prefer color
Prefer intensity
Colorize by distance: the different distances in the future orthophoto will be displayed in different colors, starting with red for close-up distances, yellow for middle distances, and different shades of green for far distances.
Set Gap Filling
Gap Filling improves the image quality of your orthophoto. Uncheck the function if you do not need such a quality. Gap Filling will increase the required time to render the Orthophoto.
The Orthophoto settings are now done.
In the next three boxes, you can specify general settings like Name, Description, Links, Categories and Tags.
Click OK to start the Orthophoto generation. This generation may take a while. You can watch and control the process in the Job Queue.
